Sunday School

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.”

Welcome to Sunday school! We will begin in-person classes in September!

All children ages 3 through 7th grades are welcome to join. Sunday school begins in the church sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. with music and gathering to share each other’s week. Classes are held for this age groups at 9:30 a.m.: Preschool through Kindergarten, 1st Grade through 5th Grade, and 6th and 7th Grades. The classes are led by fun and energetic volunteers who share their faith with the next generation of disciples. Children will be involved in reading Bible stories, creating crafts, singing songs, and learning how to make God’s Word relevant in their own lives today.

Confirmation is held during the Sunday school hour for 8th grade students. Througout the year, confirmands learn what it means to become a close follower of Jesus and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

High school-aged youth are invited to attend gatherings held on the 3rd or 4th Sunday of each month at 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Christian Education Building. All youth are invited for dinner, Bible study, games, and fellowship.

Together, we learn how to live out our faith at church and in the communities in which we live, work, and play with God’s help. At First Presbyterian Church Sayreville the children, youth, and adults strive to know God’s love, show God’s love, and share God’s love.

Please note that masks are required for all unvaccinated children.
